Because Carlsbad is located in a New Mexico area of critical need, eligible physicians may qualify for up to $300,000 in student-loan repayment in exchange for a four-year service commitment.

Position highlights:

• Team Structure: Care team manage daily bread-and-butter OR surgeries across four operating rooms, supported by skilled surgeons and staff.
• Overtime: Overtime for over 40 hours a week.
• Case Mix: Case mix excludes heads, hearts, and trauma.
• Call Schedule: Call is every fourth week, covering Monday to Thursday, 7 PM to 7 AM. No daytime work during your call week. No call responsibilities for the remaining three weeks each month.
• Work-Life Balance: On non-call weeks, you go home as soon as your cases are done. A predictable and sustainable schedule ensures you have ample time to enjoy life outside of work.
