Location: Covington, OH
Schedule: Monday-Friday with Optional 4-Day Work Week
Pay Rate: Up to $30/hr Base Pay Guaranteed + Productivity Bonuses (depending on experience)
Pay Type: Hourly + Productivity Bonus

Introduction

We are seeking a B+ Automotive & Light-Duty Diesel Technician or C+ Level Automotive Technician in Covington, OH. The shop is open to a C+ Level technician focused on gas-powered vehicles, while the B+ technician should bring diesel experience and be comfortable working on trucks up to the 5500 class.

This opportunity offers up to $30/hr in guaranteed base pay plus productivity bonuses, with $80,000+ annual earning potential. The shop provides steady workflow, modern equipment, a climate-controlled facility, paid training, ASE certification support, mentorship from an experienced Master Mechanic, and an optional rotating 4-day work week.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and mechanical repairs on gas-powered cars, SUVs, vans, and light trucks.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair light-duty diesel vehicles and trucks up to the 5500 class based on experience level.
• Complete routine maintenance, fluid services, vehicle inspections, brake repairs, suspension repairs, and general mechanical work.
• Assist with or perform drivability and diagnostic work based on skill level.
• Utilize Autel and Snap-on diagnostic equipment and digital vehicle inspection (DVI) software.
• Document inspection findings, diagnostic results, and repair recommendations accurately.
• Continue developing repair and diagnostic skills alongside an experienced Master Mechanic.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment while following shop safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of automotive repair experience.
• Open to C-Level Automotive Technicians with experience working on gas-powered vehicles.
• B+ technician candidates should have diesel experience and be comfortable working on trucks up to the 5500 class.
• Experience performing maintenance, brake, suspension, and general mechanical repairs.
• Diagnostic experience preferred.
• Experience from dealership or independent repair shop environments will be considered.
• Willingness to pursue ASE certifications.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base pay up to $30/hr depending on experience and skill level.
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
• Productivity bonus of $5/hour on billed labor hours up to 40 hours per week.
• Productivity bonus of $7/hour on billed labor hours over 40 hours per week.
