Job Summary Oversee, coordinate, and control daily airport Ramp Services, driving team performance to meet or exceed company standards for safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. This leadership role directs assigned personnel and actively manages the talent lifecycle—including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management, while optimizing staffing to align with budgetary and contractual requirements. The position ensures absolute compliance with company regulations, internal audits, corporate security programs, and TSA legislation, including the strict enforcement of site‑specific security plans and ID badge protocols. Additionally, this role serves as a key liaison for Airport Board officials and clients, ensuring all employees, vendors, and third parties are managed with fairness, equity, and respect. Ramp Service Functions Loading and unloading of baggage on and off aircraft Transferring baggage between terminals and aircraft Ramp transfers of baggage where required Receiving, delivering, and physical handling of baggage Exporting designated baggage in the outbound baggage room Completion of forms and messages related to and necessary for the performance of the designated locations of the functions described De‑ice aircraft Clean aircraft windshields Pushout/tow aircraft and related guide‑man functions Connect/remove ground power and ground start units Clean the exterior of aircraft with specialized cleaning fluids Routine cleaning of work areas, ramps, and facilities with or without powered equipment Routine automotive repair, servicing, and cleaning of powered and unpowered equipment Compensation Rate: $25.00 per hour Employment Status: Part‑Time City & Airport: Austin TX – Austin Bergstrom International Airport Responsibilities Perform all aspects of airport operations, including ticketing transactions, baggage check‑in, issuing boarding passes, and dispatching flights in a safe and timely manner. May also be responsible for baggage service functions of filing loss, damage, and pilferage claims. Offers efficient and professional customer service and resolves passenger problems as required. Coordinates with all departments to ensure operational needs are met, including catering, fueling, and maintenance companies. Acts as company representative when assigned. Reports to work on a regular and timely basis. Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Compute rate, percent, and interpret bar graphs. Identify and define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two‑year college or technical school; six months to one‑year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must be able to work weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays and days off. Preferred Skills Cognitive skills to set priorities and use independent judgment. Ability to handle stress. Work with minimal supervision. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
