CT Technologist - HS Diagnostic Services

Job Overview Join a supportive imaging team at UNC Rex Holly Springs Hospital, part of NC Health, providing CT services in a 24/7 department. This per‑diem role offers flexibility with a focus on work/life balance. Position Highlights Location: UNC Rex Holly Springs Hospital (additional hours possible at Raleigh campus) Status: Per‑Diem (PRNs must cover at least 2 shifts per month or 12 hours) Schedule: As needed; department operates 24/7. No call or holiday shifts required. Equipment: Siemens Definition Edge. Responsibilities Patient Identification & History – Verify ID, obtain history, ensure patient safety, document pregnancy status. CT Scanning – Acquire images per protocol, manipulate data, perform multi‑planar and 3D reconstruction, apply proper window/level settings. Contrast Administration – Administer oral and IV contrast per protocol, ensure lab values, safe injection procedures. Image Transfer & PACS – Maintain PACS understanding, transmit images to QC, EMR (EPIC), verify, modify or cancel orders, ensure accurate charge information. Other Duties – Manage schedule, handle challenging procedures, produce quality images, review charts, maintain clean workspace, document incidents, precept new employees and students. Requirements Education: Completion of an accredited Radiological Science program or within 3 months of application. Licensure/Certification: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or be NMTCB(CRT) certified; registry‑eligible candidates must submit diploma copy. Must become registered within two years. Certification: Maintain competency in HCP Basic Life Support (BLS) annually. Experience: Prior education, training, and experience enabling task performance. Knowledge/Skills: Proficiency with CT protocols, PACS, EPIC, IMPAX, contrast administration, patient safety, image quality, and documentation.
