Job Description and Duties
Effective July 1, 2025, in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented in response to the status of the State budget. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit 4, and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 3 percent and will receive 5 hours PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes.
Please be advised of the following additional pay benefits individuals may be eligible for:
- Employees who are employed at HIGH DESERT STATE PRISON (HDSP) for 12 consecutive qualifying pay periods will receive an annual $2600 recruitment and retention bonus.
Under the general supervision of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Office Technician (OT) (Typing), independently performs a wide variety of routine and complex administrative and clerical support duties that require general knowledge of Department programs and policies, and an understanding of the health care appeal process. The OT (Typing) must possess the ability to communicate effectively and exercise good judgment.
