Medical Director of Hematology – City of Hope Chicago Location: Chicago, IL, USA Department: Department of Hematology & Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation Salary: Base Salary Range: $300,000 to $600,000, plus incentive compensation. Sign‑on bonus, relocation assistance, and productivity/performance incentives available. City of Hope invites a senior physician to lead the Hematology department, overseeing clinical care, research, and educational programs in a multidisciplinary environment. Responsibilities Lead inpatient and outpatient hematology clinical services, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic blood disorders. Design and implement innovative clinical protocols, including clinical trials and precision medicine initiatives. Collaborate with oncologists, transplant surgeons, pathologists, pharmacists, and nursing staff to deliver coordinated patient care. Provide faculty mentorship and educational leadership for trainees and junior faculty. Ensure compliance with institutional policies, regulatory requirements, and quality metrics. Represent the department in clinical governance committees and external professional organizations. Qualifications Medical Degree (MD or DO) with board certification or eligibility in Hematology. Minimum of 5 years of clinical practice in adult or pediatric hematology, preferably with transplant experience. Demonstrated experience in clinical research and program development.
