Paramedic - Paramedic


Job Details:


• Two 24-hour shifts per week or four 12-hour shifts per week
• 48 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract length
• Every other weekend required on a scheduled rotation
• Holidays as needed and available
• No on-call requirements
• May need to float to other locations in other regions based on staffing levels on scheduled work days
• Crew configurations may be a mix of EMT/Medic, Medic/Medic, RN/EMT, or RN/Medic depending on daily staffing
• Provide basic and advanced life support treatment, care, and evaluation of patients
• Conduct ongoing assessment and required documentation of patient care
• Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patient charts
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition and treatment as appropriate
• Initiate and implement interventions based on protocols
• Assist with treatments and tests ordered by provider as supervised by provider or registered nurse
• Identify, intervene, and stabilize ill or injured patients under the direction and in collaboration with a physician and/or Registered Nurse
• Perform select clinical duties after demonstration of clinical competency and in accordance with hospital and professional scope of practice
• Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment in an interdisciplinary team environment
• Must exhibit strong decision-making skills and ability to perform under stress
• Charting system utilized is the Zoll EMS Charts platform (training will be provided)
• Minimum 3 years of experience preferred; IFT/Critical Care experience required
• High school diploma and successful completion of an EMS paramedic program required
• Active Wisconsin Paramedic license/certification required
• Active Minnesota Paramedic license/certification required
• Valid Minnesota driver's license (or valid driver's license in state of residence, if applicable) in good standing required
• Current BLS certification through AHA or American Red Cross required
• Current ACLS certification through AHA or American Red Cross required
• Current PALS certification through AHA or American Red Cross required
• Wisconsin Critical Care Paramedic (CCP) Endorsement preferred
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (radius rule does not expire)

The facility operates with interdisciplinary teams focused on delivering high-quality patient care across multiple locations and regions. The organization is committed to supporting its staff with thorough onboarding and training, including orientation conducted on a regular monthly schedule.
