POSITION: Food & Beverage SupervisorDEPARTMENT: Food & BeverageREPORTS TO: Director of Food & BeverageFLSA STATUS: Part-time, Non-ExemptSummaryASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for a regular part-time Food & Beverage Supervisor at the Albuquerque Convention Center (ACC). The Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Food & Beverage Manager in overseeing event day operations of the Albuquerque Convention Center and Albuquerque locations.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnsures all F&B sets such as concessions and Banquets and designated Bar areas are properly set before guests arriveOversees F&B and Bar Staff during eventsTrains Concessions, Banquet and Bar staff on department standards and proceduresMust be able to read and understand par sheets, stand sheets and requisition ordersMaintains existing equipment needed for outlet areas and BarsFollows responsible alcohol service policiesSupervises and coordinates Concessions Attendants, including training on company and departmental standards and providing constructive and corrective feedback as neededEnsures a positive and impactful guest experience by delivering professional and courteous guest service.Analyzes and resolves problems with associates, guests, and the operation with the assistance of the F&B ManagerLearn and be comfortable with all food and beverage menu items to effectively complete financial transactions and answer guests' questions and upsell when for maximum profitabilitySupervise staff have a clean, organized, stocked and safe areaAssist F&B Manager with inventory by reporting any low inventoryAssists Concessions and Bar staff with opening and closing duties as outlined according to departmental standardsOversee proper presentation, preparation and service needs in conjunction with all food and beverage departments to ensure the highest standards are metBe prepared to execute last minute changes, inspect service set ups in time for all staff final call. It is imperative to hold pre-function meetings to discuss operational plans, etcFosters a cooperative and harmonious working climate conducive in maximizing employee morale thus increasing overall productivityOther duties as assignedExperience/Training/Education Requirements:Must be a minimum 21 years of ageBachelor's Degree (BA) in Food & Beverage Management or related field desiredPrevious customer service and cash handling experience is a plusMinimum 1-2 years' experience in supervisory level position in Food and Beverage or equivalent training experienceMust be flexible, have a sense of urgency, be able to respond quickly and resourcefully to internal and external issues working knowledge of food production techniques, purchasing, and sanitation proceduresExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to take tasks that are not clearly defined and appropriately define problem, propose and implement solutionsOther QualificationsFood Handlers Card- A valid food handler’s card is required for this position must be obtained within 30 days of employment.Alcohol Server licensePHYSICAL EFFORTThis position requires standing, walking, bending and lifting 40lbs. throughout the day as well as working at the computer; irregular hours will be required.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility; to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear.This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.This job description portrays in general terms the type and level(s) of work performed and is not intended to be all-inclusive or to represent specific duties of any one incumbent.
