Knowledge and Skills Knowledge of: Publicserviceactivities, theorganization,policies,andmethodsof county government; The rules andregulations oftheFederalCommunicationsCommissioncovering the operation of radioreceiversand transmitters; Effectiveverbalcommunicationstechniques, particularly for communicating withother par t ies under s tress; The proper use andcareof radio and telephone equipment; GeographyofWagonerCounty, locationsoftowns,citiesand communities, major and minor roadways/highways, andlikeinformation. Skillin: Observingsit u ations analytically andobjectively and recording them clearlyandcompletely; Handlingsituationsfirmly,courteously,tactful l y , and impartially; Operating rad io, telephone, k eyboard, computertermin a l , and relatedcommunicat i ons equipment; Creatingand maintaining manualandautomated l ogs andother records of public safety communications activities; OTHER REQUIREMENTS: LicensesandCertifications : Allpositions in t h i s classification r e quire attaining andmaintainingaccess certifications by theSheriff'sDepartment,stateandfederalagenciesforcriminal history databasesandassociated co mmunications systems.Failuretoobta in /ma int ain suc h certifications may be grounds for termination. #J-18808-Ljbffr
