STRATEGIC TALENT SOURCING MANAGER

Precision Freight is seeking a Strategic Talent Sourcing Manager to lead our proactive recruiting efforts and help us identify, engage, and attract high-performing professionals across the freight brokerage, transportation, logistics, and supply chain industries.

We are looking for someone who knows how to find talent before they start looking for us.

You will be responsible for identifying strong candidates at competing companies, developing targeted talent pipelines, conducting direct outreach, and building relationships with professionals who may not currently be searching for a new position.

The ideal candidate is naturally competitive, persistent, organized, and comfortable initiating conversations through phone calls, email, LinkedIn, referrals, and other sourcing channels.

You will work directly with company leadership to understand our hiring needs and help build the team that supports Precision Freight's continued growth.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Identify and recruit high-performing professionals within freight brokerage, transportation, logistics, and related industries.
• Develop targeted talent pipelines for sales, account management, carrier sales, operations, and leadership positions.
• Research competing companies and identify strong potential candidates within those organizations.
• Source passive candidates through LinkedIn, Indeed, professional networks, referrals, industry contacts, job boards, and direct research.
• Conduct proactive outbound recruiting through phone calls, email, LinkedIn messaging, and other direct outreach.
• Build relationships with candidates who may not be actively searching for a new position.
• Create and maintain long-term talent pipelines so Precision Freight has access to qualified candidates as hiring needs develop.
• Conduct initial candidate screenings and evaluate experience, communication skills, career goals, compensation expectations, and overall fit.
• Present Precision Freight's culture, career opportunities, earning potential, and growth opportunities to prospective candidates.
• Coordinate interviews with company leadership and maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
• Track sourcing activity, candidate conversations, follow-ups, interviews, offers, and hiring results.
• Continuously improve sourcing strategies based on response rates, candidate quality, hiring results, and market conditions.
• Assist with job postings and recruiting campaigns across LinkedIn, Indeed, Precision Freight's website, and other recruiting platforms.
• Develop referral networks and industry relationships that create additional recruiting opportunities.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• 2+ years of experience in talent sourcing, recruiting, talent acquisition, executive recruiting, staffing, or a similar role.
• Proven experience proactively identifying and approaching passive candidates.
• Strong outbound communication skills and confidence initiating conversations with people who are not actively job searching.
• Comfortable using phone calls, email, LinkedIn, and other direct outreach methods to engage potential candidates.
• Strong research skills and the ability to identify talent within specific companies, industries, and markets.
• Excellent relationship-building, communication, and follow-up skills.
• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple talent pipelines and open positions simultaneously.
• Competitive, persistent, and self-motivated.
• Comfortable working in a performance-driven environment with measurable recruiting goals.
• Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, applicant tracking systems, CRM platforms, sourcing tools, or similar technology.
• Freight brokerage, transportation, logistics, staffing, or executive recruiting experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work full-time from our Itasca, IL office
