Accounting Specialist

Accounting Specialist Position Overview: Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records. This role handles a mix of general ledger activities, reconciliations, and transactional accounting while assisting with month-end close and reporting. Accounting Specialist Key Responsibilities: Perform day-to-day accounting transactions, including journal entries and account reconciliations Support month-end and year-end close processes Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed Maintain general ledger accuracy and resolve discrepancies Prepare and analyze financial reports and supporting schedules Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies Assist with audit preparation and respond to documentation requests Support process improvements and special accounting projects Qualifications of the Accounting Specialist Role: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 12 years of accounting or finance experience Working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems/ERP software Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
