Role Description The Marketing Consultant is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Buffalo, NY. This role is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to promote authors, titles, and the Brooks Craft Publishing brand across digital and traditional channels. Day‑to‑day tasks include researching target audiences, planning and running campaigns, coordinating promotional activities, and collaborating with authors and internal teams to create effective marketing plans. The Marketing Consultant will analyze campaign performance, prepare reports, manage timelines, and support sales initiatives to increase visibility, readership, and revenue. The role also involves maintaining strong relationships with authors, partners, and vendors to ensure consistent, high‑quality marketing outcomes. Qualifications Strong communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication, presentation abilities, and cross‑functional collaboration. Customer service skills to build trust with authors and stakeholders, respond to inquiries, and provide supportive, solution‑focused guidance. Sales skills to support title promotion, identify opportunities, and contribute to revenue growth through strategic outreach and follow‑up. Marketing skills across digital and traditional channels, including campaign planning, content development, and basic analytics. Project management skills to organize multiple campaigns, manage timelines, coordinate resources, and deliver projects on schedule. Experience in publishing, media, or a related creative industry is beneficial. Proficiency with common marketing tools and platforms (e.g., email marketing, social media management, basic CRM or analytics tools).
