Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher near Baton Rouge, LA, where you’ll impact students’ lives in a supportive school environment. This position starts as soon as possible and continues through May 20, 2027, offering the chance to develop meaningful connections and grow professionally over several school years.
Qualifications:
- Must hold an active Special Education Certification in Louisiana
- Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs, preferred
- Familiarity with creating and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to collaborate with parents, staff, and related service providers
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction in accordance with student IEPs
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Communicate regularly with families and educational staff regarding student growth
- Adapt teaching materials and strategies to meet a range of ability levels
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Address the unique needs of students within your assigned caseload
