Key Responsibilities Greet customers and provide a welcoming, knowledgeable, and pressure-free shopping experience Assist customers in selecting fireplaces (gas, electric, wood), outdoor living products, BBQ grills, and accessories Explain product features, benefits, installation requirements, and maintenance considerations Generate quotes, write sales orders, and process transactions accurately Coordinate with installers, delivery teams, and management to ensure smooth order fulfillment Maintain showroom displays, product signage, and overall store cleanliness Stay informed on product lines, promotions, and industry trends Handle customer inquiries, follow-ups, and basic issue resolution professionally Support inventory management, merchandising, and seasonal floor changes as needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous retail sales or customer service experience required (construction/building, furniture, or specialty retail a plus) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable selling mid- to high-ticket items and working toward sales goals Ability to learn technical product information and explain it clearly to customers Basic computer skills; POS or CRM experience preferred Reliable, punctual, and able to work Saturdays Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate merchandise when necessary Preferred Attributes Interest in fireplace design, outdoor living, or grilling Experience with fireplaces, patio furniture, BBQ equipment or construction (not required—training provided) Team-oriented mindset with a positive, professional attitude Compensation Competitive base salary for your first 12 months while you learn our products, industry, sales process, and customer-service standards.
