Caseload: 1:1
Position Overview:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a qualified ASL Paraprofessional to provide 1:1 support to a kindergarten-aged female student for a temporary assignment during the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time, onsite position offers an excellent opportunity for a compassionate professional who is experienced in or comfortable supporting students who utilize American Sign Language (ASL).
The paraprofessional will work closely with the student and educational team to provide individualized academic, communication, and classroom support throughout the school day.
Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support to a kindergarten-aged female student
Provide communication support utilizing ASL as appropriate
Assist with academic, classroom, and daily routine needs
Support the student with classroom activities, assignments, and transitions
Implement strategies and interventions as directed by the educational team
Monitor and document student progress as appropriate
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and related service providers
Help maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Provide individualized support based on the student's communication and educational needs
Qualifications:
Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting preferred
Experience with American Sign Language (ASL) preferred
Experience supporting students with communication needs preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Patient, compassionate, and dependable
Passion for supporting student development and academic success
