Responsibilities
- Plan and provide total patient care in the ER using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; monitor and respond to changes in patient status.
- Direct and guide patient education while supervising activities of ancillary personnel; ensure safe and effective care delivery.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate timely treatments, tests, and disposition decisions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care, interventions, and patient responses in accordance with standards and policies.
- Maintain patient safety and infection control practices; adapt care plans for a busy, resource-limited rural ER setting.

Requirements
- Current Iowa RN license (active)
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required (American Heart Association)
- Experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts; 36 guaranteed hours per week; every other weekend; rotating holidays
- Willingness to meet onboarding health and credentialing requirements prior to start (immunizations, background checks, drug screen, licensure verification, and related documentation)
