Details Acute care Emergency Department float pool position covering multiple ER locations within a designated zone Treats a variety of ER patients including abdominal pain, DM, NSTEMI, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, and HTN Nurse to patient ratio is 1:4-5 based on acuity ER volume ranges from 6-49 patients per day, varying by location Facilities are non-trauma designated with STEMI and stroke send-out capability Charge nurse is present and takes an assignment Techs support unit secretary work and assist nurses on the floor and in triage RT is available 24/7 for breathing treatments and EKGs No monitor tech on unit; RN must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips RNs will be trained to perform Point of Care lab testing Uses Epic EMR 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and every other holiday required Must float within the assigned zone's ER locations as scheduled No call or standby requirement Unit-specific orientation is 2-3 days Navy blue scrub color required 13-week assignment 36 guaranteed hours per week American Traveler Job ID P-746543.
