Our agency works with Colusa County residents in administering social services programs including Cal Works, Cal-Fresh, Medi-Cal, In-home Supportive Services (IHSS), Adult and Childrens Services, Public Health and Housing. This recruitment will be used to fill a current vacancy and establish an eligibility list to fill other openings without reposting. What's this Job All About? This supervisory position oversees all social workers assigned to the child welfare program and covers all services components, emergency response, family reunification, family maintenance and permanent plan. The position also provides general oversight of ancillary programs such as Resource Family Approval, Interstate Compact on the Placement Children, Commercially Sexually Exploited Children and the Indian Child Welfare Act. At the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), we work a 37.5 full-time work week, with the option of a flex-schedule. Also, the County is currently exploring remote work options of 1-2 days per week (depending on position) upon completion of probation period. This allows our staff to find a work-life balance that best fits their needs. Supervision and Examples of Duties Qualifications Social Worker Supervisor I Three (3) years of full-time experience performing journey level social work case ma agement duties* in a Social Worker II classification in an Interagency Merit System (IMS) county. Substitution: One year of graduate work in social work or counseling may substitute for one year of the required experience. OR One (1) year of full-time experience performing advanced journey level social work case management duties in a Social Worker III classification in an Interagency Merit System (IMS) county. Social Worker Supervisor II One (1) year of full-time experience performing duties comparable to the Social Worker III or Social Worker IV classification. AND A master's degree in Social Work or a master's degree from a two (2) year counseling program**.
