Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)

Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: CST Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required. License: VA or other state license required. If holding an out-of-state license, must obtain a VA state license with a 90-day authorization. Certifications: BLS, NBSTSA, NCCT, or military OR Tech certification accepted. Must-Have: Strong experience in general surgery, orthopedics (total joints), and neurosurgery is required. Big belly, crani, and orthopedic trauma experience is highly preferred. Robotic training is highly preferred. Description: The position requires the candidate to demonstrate proficiency in general surgery, orthopedic surgery, and neurosurgery. Standard shift hours are 4x10s from 11 AM to 9 PM, with a random day off. The candidate may be required to take call and work occasional weekends and holidays. Weekend rotation with staff is expected. Must work one holiday per 13-week contract. This role involves working in a Level I trauma operating room with a diverse patient population including neonates, adolescents, and geriatrics. The environment features 25 operating rooms with on-site nursing coverage available 24/7. Special procedures and equipment include robotic surgery systems and advanced imaging technologies.
