In this role, you will be responsible for leading the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of the evaporator systems, including concentrators, incinerator, FC strippers, and NCG/HVLC systems. You will provide leadership, direction, and technical guidance to ensure disciplined execution, strong team capability, and alignment with mill performance and profitability objectives.Our TeamThe Brunswick Cellulose facility is one of the largest integrated fluff pulp mills in the country with a modern woodyard, Fiberline, three paper machines, waste treatment plant, and utilities operations. The Brunswick Cellulose Mill, located in the southeast corner of Georgia, is within minutes of downtown Brunswick and about an hour from Jacksonville, FL to the south and Savannah, GA to the north. What You Will DoLead and develop supervisors, operators, and technical assistants to build capability and strengthen leadership across the evaporator organizationOwn and standardize evaporator operating practices to ensure safe, stable, and predictable performanceSet, communicate, and enforce clear operating expectations aligned with mill vision and business goalsDrive training, SOP development, and knowledge sharing to improve team effectiveness and system understandingEnsure compliance with safety and environmental standards while embedding safe work practices into daily operationsPromote a strong safety culture by identifying hazards, educating teams, and ensuring audit readinessImprove asset reliability by leading root cause analysis and ensuring completion of corrective actionsPartner with reliability and maintenance teams to proactively address equipment health and reduce downtimeSupport outage planning and align scope with critical assets and system risksLead capital planning and support long-range asset strategies to drive sustainability and cost effectivenessReview system and production data to identify trends, improve efficiency, and optimize performanceCollaborate across operations, maintenance, and support teams to ensure asset readiness and meet mill demandAlign evaporator operations with production targets, energy performance, and overall mill profitabilityWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)5+ years of experience with evaporator systems, recovery, or chemical processing operationsLeadership or supervisory experience in an industrial/manufacturing environmentDemonstrated ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable to performance expectationsExperience driving safety performance and ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory standardsAbility to analyze data, identify issues, and implement effective solutionsStrong communication and collaboration skills to work across teams and functionsWhat Will Put You AheadExperience working in Pulp and Paper ManufacturingKnowledge of reliability practices, root cause analysis, and asset health managementExperience supporting outage planning and capital project developmentContinuous improvement mindset with experience driving operational excellence initiativesBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Paper Science, or a related technical fieldAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
