Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Location: Houston, Texas

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 19:00 - 07:00

Job Description: The Labor and Delivery Unit is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care within a dynamic environment. The unit features a 35-bed capacity and operates 24/7 with a robust team of professionals dedicated to maternal and neonatal health.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care for laboring patients with a patient ratio of 1:1 to 2:1.
• Assist in surgical procedures, including Cesarean sections.
• Monitor and recover patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) with a 2:1 patient ratio.
• Conduct antepartum care/testing and continuous electronic fetal monitoring.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification.
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications are mandatory.
• Experience with OR circulation for Cesarean sections and placement of FSE and IUPC is preferred.
