Registered Nurse (RN) - Intermediate Care - $32-48 per hour

Position Overview Intermediate Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift located in Alton, Illinois. This role is open to new graduates and experienced Registered Nurses and offers a stable night‑shift schedule, strong benefits, and opportunities to grow and advance at the bedside in a collaborative, community‑based setting. Job Details Specialty: Intermediate Care Discipline: RN Employment Type: Staff Duration: Ongoing Shift schedule: 3 12‑hour shifts, 7:00PM – 7:00AM Sign‑on bonus: up to $15,000 (eligible external candidates) Shift differentials for nights, weekends, and holidays BSN differential Role Purpose Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care. Responsibilities Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment. Educates patients and families on managing illness or injury, including post‑treatment home care needs and medication administration. Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Participates in professional development. Develops, implements, and documents individualized plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team, patient, family, or caregiver. Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care. Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care. Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population‑specific needs. Required Qualifications Education: Nursing Diploma / Associate's Degree in Nursing. License: Registered Nurse (RN). Experience: None required. Supervisor experience: None required. Preferred Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Experience in nursing: less than 2 years.
