Shifts: Nights 6:45PM - 7AM


Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment in San Antonio, TX. Specializing in the pulmonary care of adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients, this role requires providing critical care under physician direction and minimal supervision. The work environment includes PICU, NICU, and Pediatric ER settings.

Key Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist

• Conduct patient assessments and develop respiratory care plans
• Perform emergency (Code Blue and White) response
• Manage airway, including nasotracheal and endotracheal suctioning
• Deliver aerosolized drugs and manage ventilators
• Provide oral hygiene and manage airway support devices
• Monitor therapeutic use of oxygen devices
• Execute chest film and EKG analysis
• Collect and analyze blood gas samples
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation
• Ensure equipment and supply cleaning and stocking
• Assist with CAP and JC surveys
• Engage in advanced practice skills, such as PFT and bronchoscopy assist

Requirements of the Respiratory Therapist

• RT or RCP License in Texas required
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications required (AHA only)
• 1-3 years of experience preferred
