Controls Technician

We are seeking an experienced Controls Technician to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial
and commercial control systems. The ideal candidate will have experience working with electrical controls, PLCs, instrumentation, and automated systems.

• Install, wire, program, test, and troubleshoot control systems and equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, sensors, relays, motor controls, and other automation equipment.
• Perform startup, commissioning, and functional testing of control systems.
• Diagnose electrical and controls-related issues and complete necessary repairs.
• Terminate and label control wiring, panels, conduit, and instrumentation.
• Perform preventative maintenance on automated and control equipment.
• Work with electricians, engineers, and other trades to complete projects safely and efficiently.
• Follow all company, OSHA, and site-specific safety requirements.

• 4+ years of controls or industrial automation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of PLC systems, VFDs, motor controls, and instrumentation.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with control panels and low-voltage wiring.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use testing equipment.
• Must have reliable transportation and required hand tools/PP.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in industrial/commercial environments.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials as required.
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces when necessary.
