Field Superintendent

SuperintendentThe Superintendent will professionally execute heavy lifting and heavy transportation work in the field and at the yard that is in keeping with company processes and standards by leading the team to perform safely, profitably and with delighted customers. The Superintendent is responsible for the safety and training of the men in their crew.Key Responsibilities Include:Understand the Core Values of the company and seek to exhibit those in the work assignedSupport the sales effort by performing job walks, assisting in estimating schedule, equipment durations, solution selling, and other business development efforts as neededWork collaboratively with the engineering support to assist in planning and optimizing of upcoming workParticipate in handoff meetings to receive direction, engineered drawings, schedules, and communicate expectations for field performanceWork together with internal resources to identify equipment needed, perform inspections, develop load out lists and to coordinate trucking as necessaryExecute scheduled work while utilizing company safety programs to evaluate job hazards and manage risks throughout job tasksDelegate tasks to field crews with clear man-hour expectations and safe performance criteriaEnsure that all crew members are qualified for the work assignedWork with an eye towards improvement on schedule, safe performance, and equipment maintenanceCultivate an environment of idea generation and communicate any significant ideas to managementDevelop an attitude of fairness towards crew members in assigning of work and coachingTrain the crew members on your team to continue to add qual cards to their resumeTreat all customers with dignity and respectLead the team by exhibiting a high morale towards the company and towards workParticipate in evaluation of crew members at scheduled intervals and managementQualifications:Communication SkillsReasoning AbilityCRANE AND RIGGING 2.00 Year(s)FOREMAN 5.00 Year(s)Compensation and Benefits:Competitive salary and performance bonus401(k) program with company match up to10% of payFamily medical, dental and vision insurancePaid time off and other benefitsBarnhart CARES family care and community service opportunitiesBarnhart is built on a strong foundation of serving others.
