Position: Marketing and Communications Coordinator Location: Ann Arbor, MI Job Id: 2425 # of Openings: 1 Job Title: Marketing and Communications Coordinator Reports To: Principal / Head of School Position Summary The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is responsible for promoting the mission, values, and programs of Spiritus Sanctus Academy to current and prospective families, alumni, donors, and the broader community. This individual develops and implements strategic marketing initiatives that strengthen the school's reputation, increase student enrollment, foster community engagement, and celebrate the life of the school. About Spiritus Sanctus Academies The Spiritus Sanctus Academies are independent Catholic K-8 schools located in Ann Arbor and Plymouth, Michigan under the administration of the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist. The mission of Spiritus Sanctus Academy is to form disciples of Christ who, like St. Dominic, know the truth, choose the good, and love the beautiful. Committed to academic excellence, the schools place a priority on Catholic faith development and growth in virtue as joyful disciples of Christ. Key Responsibilities Marketing and Enrollment Support Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan to support student recruitment and retention goals. Create compelling content that highlights the unique strengths, programs, and culture of the school. Collaborate with school leadership to promote admissions events, open houses, and enrollment campaigns. Monitor enrollment trends and recommend marketing strategies to reach prospective families. Communications and Storytelling Gather and share stories that showcase student learning, faculty excellence, school traditions, alumni accomplishments and community impact. Write and edit newsletters, website content, press releases, and other communications materials. Maintain a consistent voice and brand identity across all school communications. Coordinate photography and videography to document school events and activities. Digital and Social Media Management Manage and update the school's website to ensure content is current, accurate, and engaging. Develop and maintain a social media presence that reflects the school's mission and values. Create digital marketing campaigns, including email communications and online advertising, as appropriate. Track engagement metrics and use data to improve communication effectiveness, implementing the new use of a CRM. Community and Donor Engagement Promote opportunities for parent involvement and community partnerships. Support alumni relations by developing communications that encourage ongoing connection with the school. Assist with fundraising initiatives by creating donor communications, campaign materials, and stewardship pieces. Work collaboratively with development staff, volunteers, and school leadership to strengthen relationships with supporters. Event Promotion and Coordination Publicize school events through multiple communication channels. Assist with planning and marketing special events, celebrations, and community outreach activities. Ensure that school events effectively showcase the school's mission and educational excellence. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field preferred. Experience in marketing, communications, admissions, or a related role. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Proficiency with social media platforms, website content management systems, and common design tools. Photography, graphic design, and video editing skills are desirable. Understanding of and appreciation for the mission and values of the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist and of Spiritus Sanctus Academy Desired Characteristics The successful candidate will be: A practicing Catholic who fully supports the mission of Spiritus Sanctus Academy, which is to form disciples of Jesus Christ who, like St. Dominic, know the truth, choose the good, and love the beautiful. A gifted storyteller who can capture and communicate the heart of the school. Creative, collaborative, and proactive. Enthusiastic about building relationships with families, alumni, and community partners. Detail-oriented while maintaining a strategic perspective. Passionate about promoting educational excellence and fostering a vibrant school community. Physical Requirements Ability to move throughout the school campus and attend school events, including occasional evening or weekend activities. Ability to use standard office equipment and technology. Employment Status Full-time or part-time, as determined by the needs of the school.
