Wound Care Nurse

As a Wound Nurse at Allure HCS, you will play a vital role in providing primary skin care to our residents, promoting healing, and improving their overall well‑being. Job Summary As a Wound Nurse, you will be responsible for providing assessment, diagnostic, and treatment services to residents with dermatologic disorders. You will work closely with the Director of Nursing and other licensed nursing personnel to ensure the highest level of care and patient satisfaction. Our ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of wound care and be able to implement and maintain established policies and procedures. Responsibilities Confer with the Director of Nursing and/or other licensed nursing personnel regarding the dermatologic disorders of residents in the facility Examine residents and their records, and discriminate between normal and abnormal findings to recognize when to refer to a physician for evaluation, supervision, or direction Provide assessment and diagnostic services to residents, perform assessments, and initiate requests for consultation or referral Identify, manage, and treat specific skin disorders and primary and secondary lesions Assist in resident rehabilitation activities and provide preventative health care services Make written and oral reports to the attending physician, Medical Director, or DON concerning the status and care of residents Implement and maintain established policies and procedures relative to wound care treatments Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications LPN/RN with current unencumbered state licensure Wound Certification from an accredited institution preferred Current CPR certificationMinimum of 2 years of experience as an LPN/RN Physical Demands Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday Must be able to speak and write the English language Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet What We Offer Pay: $33-$42.00 an hour Pick‑Up Bonus 401(k) with 3% Company Match Comprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Disability and Life Insurance Tuition Reimbursement Daily Pay Option Paid Time Off (PTO) Package Supportive staffing ratios Positive, team‑oriented work environment If you're a dedicated and compassionate Wound Nurse looking for a new challenge, we invite you to join our team at Allure HCS.
