Help professional drivers find rewarding careers.We are looking for a Driver Recruiter to identify, engage, and hire qualified professional drivers who will help keep our operations moving. In this role, you'll manage the recruiting process from candidate review through conditional job offer while working closely with hiring managers, Driver Operations, and the Human Resources team to provide an exceptional hiring and onboarding experience.If you're energized by building relationships, engaging candidates, and filling challenging positions, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in one of the transportation industry's most critical functions.What You'll DoManage the recruiting process for assigned hiring areas from initial candidate engagement through hiringReview applications and evaluate candidates for open driver positionsSchedule and conduct interviews in accordance with company policies and applicable employment lawsExtend conditional job offers to qualified candidates using sound judgment and established hiring standardsMonitor candidates throughout the hiring process to ensure a smooth and timely onboarding experienceAudit hiring activity to ensure compliance with company policies and DOT requirementsEducate prospective drivers about career opportunities, company operations, pay, benefits, and the hiring processBuild and maintain relationships with prospective drivers throughout the recruiting processPartner with hiring managers and Driver Operations to meet hiring goals and support staffing needsAttend recruiting events, job fairs, and other hiring activities to attract qualified candidatesStay current on DOT and FMCSA regulations, recruiting best practices, and industry trendsPerform other duties as assignedWhat You'll BringHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum one year of high-volume recruiting or staffing experience requiredStrong communication and relationship-building skillsAbility to build rapport, influence decisions, and effectively engage candidates throughout the hiring processExcellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesAbility to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentialityCustomer-focused mindset with strong follow-throughProficiency with Microsoft OfficePreferred QualificationsExperience recruiting CDL driversTransportation, trucking, or tanker industry experienceKnowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulationsExperience with Tenstreet, Workday, and SmartsheetWork Environment and Physical RequirementsThis is an on-site position based at a Groendyke terminal location. The role involves primarily computer and telephone work, extended periods of sitting, occasional walking, and frequent communication with candidates, hiring managers, Driver Operations, and other business partners.
