Project Analyst, Desktop Services

HealthPartners is hiring a Project Analyst, Desktop Services . This role coordinates, supports, and implements enterprise client technology solutions across HealthPartners by partnering with IT teams, network services, Facilities, Materials Management, vendors, and business stakeholders. The position leads the planning, deployment, and lifecycle management of desktop and endpoint technologies, including enterprise fleet management, technology refresh initiatives, workstation deployments, and office technology implementations.

Serving as a key technology partner for Facilities-driven projects, this individual coordinates and executes technology implementations supporting office moves, facility remodels, expansions, workstation deployments, and other site-based initiatives. The role is expected to actively participate in on-site deployment activities while leading project planning, communication, and implementation efforts.

The role develops and maintains project documentation, work plans, and implementation schedules in accordance with HealthPartners project methodologies, while ensuring technology solutions align with organizational goals and business needs.

This position plays a critical role in supporting organizational growth and technology modernization efforts by coordinating resources, managing implementation activities, tracking project outcomes, and minimizing disruption to business operations. Regular travel to and work at multiple HealthPartners locations is required to support facility projects, desktop deployments, technology implementations, workforce moves, and other operational initiatives.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Enterprise Desktop Services, this role joins a highly collaborative team of 15 engineers and analysts dedicated to supporting and advancing enterprise desktop technologies across HealthPartners.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Five (5) years of project coordination or project management experience supporting physical infrastructure or technology-related projects (e.g., IT equipment installations, facility upgrades, HVAC, construction, or similar environments). Experience collaborating with Facilities teams, vendors, and contractors to coordinate the removal, relocation, and installation of equipment is preferred.
• Nine (9) years of Information Technology experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to identify root causes, develop solutions, and resolve complex issues
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities
• Working knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project)
• Strong understanding of desktop hardware, software applications, and IT infrastructure within LAN/WAN environments
• Proven ability to build collaborative partnerships across technical and business teams
• Ability to travel to and work at various HealthPartners locations based on business and project needs

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree
• Eight (8) years of project coordination or project management experience
• Fifteen (15) years of Information Technology experience
• Experience leading Desktop Services or enterprise technology deployment projects
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management training.
• Understanding of Agile project management principles, methodologies, and delivery practices.
• Advanced knowledge of project management tools, methodologies, and best practices
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale, multi-phase projects involving facilities, technology, and cross-functional resources
• Expertise in developing business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and project budgets
• Proven ability to resolve highly complex technical and operational challenges through innovative solutions
• Strong negotiation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with enterprise hardware lifecycle management, deployment, maintenance, and configuration across diverse computing platforms
• Advanced understanding of IT infrastructure, network environments, desktop technologies, and enterprise application integrations
• Demonstrated history of building strong partnerships across HealthPartners IT and business departments

Hours/Location:

• M-F; core business hours
• This role is primarily remote but requires regular travel to HealthPartners locations to lead projects and work directly with teams across multiple sites. On average, employees in this role can expect to travel approximately 500 miles per month.

Compensation Range:

This position is available at an intermediate, senior, or principal level, depending on qualifications.

• Intermediate Project Analyst: $27.86 - $41.80 hourly
• Senior Project Analyst: $34.28 - $51.42 hourly
• Principal Project Analyst: $43.42 - $65.14 hourly
  • Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role. Pay within our ranges may also be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities as well as internal equity. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation based on role (e.g., shift differential, bonus, sales incentive, productivity pay, etc.).

Responsibilities:

• Provide project management, implementation, and on-site execution support for facility projects, office moves, workstation deployments, technology implementations, and enterprise initiatives.
• Partner with business stakeholders to assess and translate technology needs into technical requirements and implementation plans.
• Coordinate enterprise deployment of desktop, endpoint, network connectivity, and office technology solutions across IT teams, application owners, vendors, and business partners.
• Develop and maintain project charters, work plans, schedules, status reports, and other project documentation using established PMO methodologies and tools.
• Plan, track, and communicate project milestones, deliverables, risks, dependencies, and status updates to sponsors and stakeholders.
• Lead coordination of large-scale desktop deployments, technology refreshes, fleet lifecycle management, and repeatable enterprise software implementations.
• Ensure desktop, printer, and related technology requirements are planned, procured, and delivered in support of facility projects and operational needs.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Network, PMO, and business teams to coordinate technology changes that impact desktop environments and end-user services.
• Consult with business partners to ensure technology requests, moves, adds, and changes are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with customer expectations.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; proactively escalate issues and develop contingency plans when necessary.
• Partner with vendors and contracted service providers to coordinate implementation activities, resource assignments, support services, and issue resolution.
• Maintain workstation and client technology configuration items within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
• Create and coordinate change management activities and records for desktop technologies and enterprise deployments.
• Establish and maintain hardware, software, procurement, and configuration standards in partnership with IT and Materials Management.
• Support the design and delivery of technology solutions for testing labs, training environments, and specialized business needs.
• Guide desktop infrastructure decisions by evaluating dependencies between endpoint technologies, enterprise applications, and care delivery peripherals.
• Identify opportunities to improve desktop services, fleet management, lifecycle planning, virtualization, and service delivery processes.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, deployment standards, and implementation documentation.
• Participate in staff development activities, including interviewing, onboarding, training, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration among project teams, stakeholders, business owners, vendors, and technical resources to ensure successful project outcomes.
