Responsibilities

• Must Have: Forklift Certification -  Preffered  if through an OSHA-accredited trainer.
• Must Have: 4 years of experience OR a Degree/Certificate in Science 
• Product Lab Testing (training provided): Run comprehensive plastic material and performance assessments, checking variables like thickness, strength, impact resistance, and visual clarity.
• Competitor Benchmarking: Analyze alternative marketplace products to evaluate performance metrics and pinpoint development opportunities.
• Trials & Deviations: Coordinate testing and verification protocols for new material formulations, client trials, and product development phases.
• Operational Troubleshooting: Partner with production teams to diagnose and resolve manufacturing defects or process anomalies.
• Root Cause Analysis: Drive investigations and implement preventative measures to stop recurring issues.
• Client Care Support: Assist with investigation protocols for client feedback and compile data for customer-facing documentation.
• Team Training: Train and mentor floor operators and junior lab technicians on proper testing protocols, documentation standards, and quality goals.
• Regulatory Compliance: Help maintain the facility's SQS Certification, adherence to food safety standards, specialized handling procedures, and industry certifications.
• Nice to Have: Experience working inside a plastic manufacturing environment
• Nice to Have:  Six Sigma, 5S, or Lean Manufacturing knowledge

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 20lbs
• standing for 1 hours at one time
• working up to 8 hrs of overtime per week
• working weekends
