Position Overview

We are seeking qualified candidates for a contract position in a Short Term Acute Care facility located in Arizona. This role involves providing care in Medical Surgical and Telemetry units, where flexibility and a team-oriented approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Arizona RN License or valid participating compact license (submissions accepted with pending license)
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications are required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant specialty
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Shift Details

• Shift Type: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
• Ratios: 1:4/5
• Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Float between two Medical Surgical Telemetry units as needed
• Provide patient care by utilizing standard medical surgical and telemetry equipment
• Adhere to quality and patient safety standards for medication administration
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary support teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy

Special Requirements

Candidates must be open to floating to other units as required, and previous experience in an ICU or PCU setting is a plus. Travelers will be working in a flex pool, and it is important to have a well-rounded skill set in Medical Surgical and Telemetry care.

Patient Demographics

• Focus on Adult and Geriatric patient populations
• Daily Census: 20-28 patients, depending on the unit

Additional Information

• Orientation Hours: 12 hours (all module hours are billable)
• Preferred Charting System: Cerner
• Special Equipment: Bladder Scanner, IV Ultrasound Placement Equipment, Mechanical Lift Systems, Remote Telemetry Monitoring
• Parking: Free parking available on-site
