Job Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of Operating Room RN experience in a Level 1 trauma setting required
• Active Registered Nurse license in New Jersey required
• Scrub and circulate experience required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• BSN preferred
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on patient safety and quality outcomes
• Excellent organizational and care coordination skills in the OR environment
• Flexibility to meet department scheduling needs, including occasional weekends and on-call shifts

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care to surgical patients throughout the operative process
• Perform both scrub and circulate duties in a high-acuity Operating Room setting
• Support surgeons and the surgical team during trauma and complex operative procedures
• Maintain a sterile field and uphold infection prevention and patient safety standards
• Monitor patients and communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary staff
• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to hospital clinical protocols
• Promote efficiency, quality care, and positive patient outcomes in every assigned case
• Participate in on-call coverage and weekend shifts as needed by the department
