Position Overview

RPh on the Go is seeking an experienced Production Pharmacist to support medication inventory, distribution, and fulfillment operations in Itasca, IL. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist looking for a consistent Monday–Friday schedule in a unique pharmacy operations environment.

The pharmacist will play an important role in ensuring medications and supplies are properly received, stored, tracked, and distributed while maintaining compliance with applicable pharmacy regulations and quality standards. Knowledge of IV medications is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of medications, including refrigerated and specialty medications
• Manage medication and supply inventory, including ordering and minimizing waste and expired products
• Ensure proper medication storage conditions and compliance with USP standards and state and federal regulations
• Verify medication orders prior to preparation and shipment
• Supervise pharmacy technicians involved in inventory, picking, packing, and shipping
• Coordinate with sterile compounding pharmacists and technicians to ensure medications and supplies are available for patient orders
• Monitor controlled substance inventory and maintain required documentation
• Perform cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and quality assurance audits
• Collaborate with purchasing, nursing, and operations teams to support timely medication delivery
• Utilize pharmacy software and inventory management systems to track medications and supplies

Qualifications

• Active and clear Illinois Pharmacist license required
• Knowledge or experience with IV medications required
• Strong understanding of medication storage, inventory management, and pharmacy operations
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced pharmacy and warehouse environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
