As a Structural Welder , you will be responsible for welding and fabricating structural steel and stainless steel components for a water treatment plant project. This role requires producing high-quality welds that meet project specifications while maintaining strict safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with MIG welding on 304L stainless steel, hold the required welding certifications, and be able to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment. Candidates must successfully complete a weld test in Goose Creek, SC prior to beginning work in Hanahan, SC.

Job Type: Full-time

Hourly Rate: $34.00 - $37.00 per hour

Expected Hours: 50 hours per week (10-hour shifts, Monday-Friday)

Project Location: Hanahan, SC (Water Treatment Plant)

Project Duration: Approximately 3 weeks

Required Skills:

• Current certifications in Structural Welding and Stainless Steel Welding
• Experience welding 304L stainless steel using the MIG process
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality welds
• Knowledge of welding safety procedures and OSHA standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must successfully complete a weld test in Goose Creek, SC before starting
• Local candidates only

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform structural and stainless steel MIG welding on 304L stainless steel components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding procedures, and project specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and installation.
• Complete welds that meet quality standards and pass visual and structural inspections.
• Prepare, position, and fit materials prior to welding.
• Inspect materials and completed welds for defects and make necessary repairs when required.
• Operate welding equipment and related tools safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the project.
• Follow all company policies, site-specific safety requirements, and supervisor instructions.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other trades to ensure project timelines are met.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Structural Welder in industrial or commercial construction is required.
• Must be certified in both Structural and Stainless Steel welding.
• Proven experience welding 304L stainless steel using the MIG process.
• Ability to pass a practical weld test at the company's shop in Goose Creek, SC prior to starting work.
• Experience working on water treatment plants or similar industrial facilities is a plus.
• Reliable transportation to the project site in Hanahan, SC and testing location in Goose Creek, SC.
• Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work 10-hour shifts.
