Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner

A health services network in New York City is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up care in a collaborative, community-based setting in Queens.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Day shift

• Schedule: Monday to Friday

• Hours: 11am to 7pm

• Setting: On-site outpatient setting

Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, including review of psychiatric, substance use, and medical history

• Provide medication management and follow-up visits for patients receiving behavioral health care

• Assess symptoms, risk factors, and level of care needs, including crisis evaluations when needed

• Collaborate with therapists, case managers, psychiatrists, and clinical leadership on treatment planning and care coordination

• Document evaluations, progress notes, treatment plans, and medication updates accurately in the EMR

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree

• Active NYS Nurse Practitioner license

• Outpatient Behavioral Health or Psychiatry experience

Desired Skills:

• Bilingual (English and Spanish)

• AccuMED EMR experience

• Experience in a fast-paced outpatient setting

• Strong medication management and risk assessment skills
