What we are looking for: We are seeking an ONSITE Real Estate Lending Specialist Full Time to assist First Atlantic Federal Credit Union to live out our Mission and Vision by working directly with the Lending Manager to provide the best value financial services to members by providing outstanding service to both external and internal members. Job Summary The primary purpose of this position is to assist First Atlantic Federal Credit Union to live out our Mission to provide best value financial services to members by providing outstanding service to both members and internal members. In addition, provide quality member service, promote Credit Union loan products, examine, evaluate, and authorize or recommend approval of member applications for loans by performing the following duties. Assists members with their needs, analyzing loan requests and making credit decisions based on lending policy. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Must be able to analyze / underwrite / cash flow mortgage loans by analyzing each loan file, appraisal(s), application, preliminary title report and verifications. Understand loan program criteria and ensure loans are accurately documented. Review loan files for completeness and identify any missing documentation or potential problems. Reviews applications and all pertinent disclosures to ensure compliance with all Federal, State, investor requirements and Credit Union policies are met and upheld. Cross trains other team members, when applicable. Providing excellent member service and ensuring the member relationship is maintained and the highest possible level. Pre-qualify by determining loan limits. Post closing review on all loan files. Ensure accuracy of changing rates and maturity dates. Manage and maintain all escrow accounts to ensure payments are made timely. Eligible to register with the SAFE Act.
