About the Position

Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Sterile Tech Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 9-Hour Days, Monday-Thursday with Rotating On Call Coverage Hours per Shift: 10:00 AM - 7:30 PM Experience: Minimum 1 year of Sterile Processing experience preferred License: None required Certifications: BLS, Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST), Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPDT) Must-Have: Hardworking, detail-oriented, and adaptable Description: Hiring Process: Profiles will be reviewed and suitable candidates will be forwarded directly for interviews. Orientation Week: Clinicians must be in-state for the week of orientation, regardless of remote module availability. Required Certifications: CRCST or CSPDT. Common Cases: Ortho, total joints, trauma, arthroscopies, spine, general, DaVinci XI, ENT, and urology. Responsibilities: - Duties within the Sterile Processing Department include instrument decontamination, preparation and packing, sterilization, receiving and processing vendor trays, and sterile stores duties such as picking case carts. - Must be able to work with all types of instruments received and sterilize them accordingly. Shift Scheduling: Scheduling is determined by the lead technician with potential for shift trades. Call Requirements: Weeknight and weekend call responsibilities are expected. Floating Requirements: May be required to float within the Sterile Processing Department if necessary. Dress Code: Blue hospital-provided scrubs and full surgical attire are required. Orientation: Coordination by the lead technician to cover responsibilities and competencies until individual comfort is achieved. Cancellation Policy: Client reserves the right to cancel shifts per assignment duration. Charting System: Epic BSN Requirement: Not required Trauma Level: Acute care setting
