Registered Nurse (RN) One-on-One School Nurse
Make a meaningful difference in one student's school experience. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a one-on-one pediatric school nursing assignment in Apopka, Florida.
About the Opportunity: This role supports a medically complex elementary-school student in a public-school setting. The nurse will remain with the student throughout the school day, providing consistent individualized nursing support so the student can safely participate in the educational environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN who enjoys pediatric nursing, continuity of care, and building a one-on-one relationship with a patient and their support team.
The RN will provide approximately 7.5 hours of one-on-one nursing care each school day. The student has complex medical needs that include a G-tube, TPN, urinary catheter, a history of gastroschisis and congenital intestinal complications, and autism. The assignment is expected to continue through the school year, with an additional 15 days of Extended School Year (ESY) coverage anticipated.
Schedule:
- Full school-day assignment
- Approximately 7.5 hours per day
- School-year assignment
- Additional 15 days of ESY coverage anticipated
- Immediate start
We are especially interested in RNs with experience in:
- Pediatric nursing
- G-tube care and feedings
- TPN / central-line care
- Catheter management
- Medication administration
- Caring for children with autism or developmental disabilities
