Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver therapy interventions per the Physical Therapist's plan of care
• Document patient progress and response to treatment accurately and timely
• Assist with patient education and home exercise programs to support recovery goals
• Communicate patient status updates to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and compliance standards for quality care

Qualifications

• Active state Physical Therapist Assistant license or the ability to obtain one
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Ability to follow treatment plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Commitment to helping patients restore mobility and improve their quality of life

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Physical therapy interventions and treatment planning
• Patient care and patient education techniques
• Accurate clinical documentation
• Effective communication with supervising PTs and care teams
