Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Per Diem

This position offers a schedule of Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The role provides flexibility with options for coverage of 3 days a week and 2 Saturdays per month, depending on the needs of the facility.

As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) working in a per diem capacity, you will provide vital coverage in the Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) and acute care units, delivering high-quality speech therapy services to patients. Your expertise in acute care settings is essential for effective patient assessment and intervention.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet each patient's specific needs.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document evaluations, treatment plans, and patient progress in compliance with facility policies.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment options and strategies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
• Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is strongly preferred.
