•Patient Volume/Census: TBD
•Phone Consults: As Needed
•Case Mix: General Hospital Medicine, ICU Support, Neurology, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Cardiology, Oncology, and Gastroenterology

FACILITY INFORMATION
•No. of Beds in Department: 339 Inpatient Beds
•ICU Beds: 36 Dedicated ICU Beds
•EMR System: Epic with MModal
•Specialty Backup Available: Neurology, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Cardiology, Oncology, Gastroenterology
•Support Staff Available:

- Day Coverage: 10 Physicians and 3 PA/NPs

- Night Coverage: 2 Physicians and 1 PA/NP

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
•Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
•Credentialing Timeline: TBD
•Flu Vaccine: Required
•COVID Vaccine: Required

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
•Rate: TBD

•Respond to Rapid Response Team Activations

JOB REQUIREMENTS
•Licenses: Active Unrestricted Mississippi Medical License
•DEA: Active DEA with Mississippi Address and Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5
•Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
•Certifications: ACLS Required
•Education: Completion of Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Residency
•Experience: Minimum 2 Years of Recent Clinical Experience
•Case Logs: Documentation for Previous 2 Years Required
•CME: Proof of CME Activity for Previous 2 Years Required
•Fellowship: Preferred

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Provide overnight inpatient hospitalist coverage
•Manage hospitalized adult patients
•Collaborate with specialists and multidisciplinary care teams
•Respond to codes and rapid response events
•Provide support within an open ICU environment
•Document patient care activities in Epic
•Deliver high-quality inpatient care
