Facility Maintenance Technician I

Pay: Ranging from $20.75 – $24.75 per hour + Overtime + Full Benefits What You’ll Do Facilities Maintenance & Repairs . Perform general repairs across multiple sites, including drywall, patching, painting, tiling, basic masonry, shelving and equipment installation, floor repairs, and exterior maintenance (roofs, gutters, landscaping). Preventative Maintenance . Conduct routine maintenance on building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, and identify issues early to prevent costly breakdowns. Site Operations Support . Travel between multiple sites across the Chicago area; troubleshoot and resolve day‑to‑day facility issues; partner with internal teams to keep kitchens fully operational. What Your Week Looks Like 60% hands‑on repairs and maintenance 25% preventative maintenance 15% inspections, troubleshooting, and support Required 2+ years of handyman, maintenance, or facilities experience Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, field‑based role Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Preferred 3+ years of commercial facilities maintenance experience Experience in restaurants, hospitality, or multi‑site environments HVAC/R experience or trade school background Field‑based role across the Greater Chicago Area Local travel between sites (home daily) On‑call rotation and overtime opportunities Benefits 401(k) Paid time off Life insuranceMileage and toll reimbursement Actual compensation will be determined on an individual basis and may vary depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
