Part-Time Principal Investigator — Clinical Research

Job Overview : Our client is seeking a part-time Principal Investigator (PI) to oversee clinical research studies on a flexible, low-time-commitment basis. This role is ideal for a physician or qualified provider looking to supplement their practice with clinical trial work in cardio metabolic space / endocrinology.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Principal Investigator on assigned clinical trials, ensuring compliance with study protocols, GCP, and applicable regulations
  • Review and oversee informed consent processes
  • Evaluate patient eligibility and safety throughout study participation
  • Conduct or supervise study-related procedures and assessments
  • Collaborate with study coordinators and sponsor/CRO representatives
  • Maintain accurate source documentation and case report forms

Qualifications

  • MD, DO, with an active, unrestricted Florida license
  • One of the following required:
  • Prior experience as a Sub-Investigator or Principal Investigator on cardio metabolic clinical research studies, or
  • Active clinical practice in endocrinology or medical weight loss with a current patient panel
  • Strong understanding of GCP/ICH guidelines (or willingness to complete training)
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to commit approximately 3–5 hours per week, with flexible scheduling

Compensation

  • Per-procedure compensation for visits and assessments performed
