Product Manager

Job Description We are seeking an experienced Product Manager with tax domain expertise, specifically in sales tax, indirect tax, and tax exemptions, to lead the development, and delivery of tax related product capabilities. This role will serve as the voice of the customer and the business for tax functionality, translating complex and evolving regulatory requirements into intuitive, scalable, and compliant product solutions. Key Responsibilities Own the product roadmap for sales tax, indirect tax, and tax exemption capabilities, aligning with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Translate tax and business requirements into clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications for engineering teams. Partner closely with Engineering in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, backlog grooming, and release planning to ensure timely and high quality delivery. Support testing and validation of tax logic, including rate calculations, jurisdictional rules, exemption handling, and edge cases. Domain experience in sales tax, indirect tax, and tax exemptions Experience translating complex regulatory or legislative requirements into scalable software solutions. Proven ability to write clear product requirements and collaborate closely with engineering teams. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications Background working with tax engines, ERP systems, e commerce platforms, or financial systems. Experience supporting global indirect taxes (VAT/GST) in addition to U.S. sales tax. Prior experience in tax technology, fintech, SaaS compliance platforms, or regulated industries.
