We have an exciting opportunity as a scrap metal Buyer.Basic Job Duties:Greets and helps customers unload scrap metalIdentifies, weighs, and sorts out different types of materialsMust be courteous and patient with employees and customersHelps with housekeeping during down timesMust be willing to fill at other tasks when needed and performing only those jobs on which they have been trainedWill work in the different weather conditionsResponsible for observing and following all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipmentResponsible for timely, understandable, legible and accurate paperworkMinimum Qualifications:Ability to provide quality customer service1 year of customer service experience preferredAble to work in the heat of the summer and cold of the winterMust be able to stand for long periods of timeGood attendance and punctuality is a mustAnalytical and problem solving skillsUnderstand computer basicsPhysical Requirements:Ability to sit, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach and work on your feet for extended periods of timeThe employee occasionally is required to lift up to 50 poundsThe employee is frequently required to use hands, fingers; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel or crouchBenefits:Medical, Dental, Vision, Voluntary Life/AD&DPaid Time Off (PTO)7 paid holidays 401k w/ Metro matching up to 4% (employees eligible after 1 year of employment)$500 Employee Referral Bonus$500 Employee Retention BonusSafety IncentivesCompany PartiesExtra Mile ProgramEmployee Assistance Program
