Clinical RN II- WOW Labor & Delivery

Job Overview Position: Registered Nurse – Weekend Only Worker Program (Labor/Delivery/Recovery). 12‑hour night shifts performed Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Eligible for full‑time benefits and an $18/hour weekend differential. Salary range: $54.15 – $78.82 per hour. Responsibilities Coordinated nursing care for patients in OB Triage, Labor & Delivery, OB Circulating & Recovery, High‑Risk OB, and immediate newborn care. Develop and coordinate plans of care with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team. Direct and supervise nursing and ancillary personnel, exercising professional discretion and independent judgment. Observe and direct patient lifts and mobilization, participating in patient handling as needed. Follow Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, and applicable laws and standards. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education : Minimum – as required by registration/licensure. Preferred – Bachelor’s Degree. Experience : Minimum – 1 year of directly related RN experience in Labor & Delivery, OB Circulating, and OB PACU. Preferred – 2+ years of directly related experience. License : Required – Current California RN license. Preferred – Not applicable. Certifications AWHONN Intermediate and/or Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certificate American Heart Association recognized Advanced Cardiac Life Support American Heart Association recognized BLS – Healthcare Provider Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) Other Requirements Proficient in speaking and reading English at a level sufficient to perform essential functions. Knowledge of standard office equipment (calculator, fax, photocopier) and computer software (MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Internet, e‑mail). Proficient Windows computer skills, including keyboarding, mouse use, drop‑down menus, scrolling, opening folders, copying, and other basic operations required within the first two weeks of employment.
