Position Overview A full‑time, outside sales position responsible for seeking and developing relationships for new business sources internally and externally. The role involves meeting with and interviewing prospective customers, brokers, NHCs, and other referral sources at homebuilding communities or other convenient locations to collect and analyze customer financial information, advise customers on the risks and benefits of various mortgage products, and help select the appropriate loan program within Lennar Mortgage roadmap. The officer obtains loan applications from customers and works with them to achieve loan approval. Responsibilities Support the company’s growth through outside sales activities and lead generation. Travel regularly (at least weekly) to communities, realtors’ offices, and other appropriate locations to solicit new business and leads from home builders. Conduct “First Time Homebuyer Seminars” in communities on a regular basis to develop leads and build relationships with New Home Consultants and prospective/current customers. Participate in builder and realtor functions, status meetings, phase releases, phone banks, and special events to develop and maintain relationships and customer service. Meet with prospective/current customers at various locations to explain the company’s offerings, obtain loan applications and required documents, and attend closings. Review leads daily and contact prospective customers via telephone and email to set up in‑person or virtual meetings. Originate and prepare new loans in accordance with the “Loan Officer” agreement to ensure all loans meet the guidelines of the Products and Policies manual. Advise customers on mortgage loan products that best fit their individual needs. Review interest rates as needed and lock all loans with borrowers in accordance with the Secondary Marketing Pricing and Rate Lock Policies, at least fifteen days prior to closing. Provide assistance to New Home Consultants on pre‑qualifications of customers to develop an outside‑sales pipeline and provide loan status updates as needed. Meet or exceed closed loan capture rate, spot loan objectives for the division, and other established sales goals determined by the Division Manager and based on annual business. Maintain reports and notes within the origination computer system regarding prospects and customers to ensure complete information exchange, including loan status, conversations, underwriting, lock information, projected closings, incentives, and expenses. Requirements Four‑year college degree (preferred). At least three years of loan originating experience. Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends. Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation. NMLS license required or willingness to obtain one. Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements Regular, in‑person attendance at company communities, job sites, and offices during regular work hours is essential. The role may require working more than eight hours per day in construction trailers, operating motor vehicles, reading plans, climbing stairs and ladders, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, moving or carrying equipment that may exceed 50 pounds. Occasional operation of construction equipment and finger dexterity to use a keyboard and calculator may be required.
