Forward Deployed Engineer

Company Description Rondo builds AI agents that streamline clinical operations and improve patient experiences by supporting care coordination teams from admission through discharge. Its technology helps hospitals predict discharge needs early, identify the right next care setting, and manage placement with skilled nursing, rehab, and home health partners. Rondo coordinates logistics such as document packets, transport bookings, and communication with families and receiving teams, all within a closed audit trail and alongside existing EMR systems. The company is live in hospitals across the United States and was built with Juxtapose, an investor behind dozens of healthcare and technology companies. Rondo focuses on making complex care transitions clear and efficient while ensuring clinicians retain full decision-making authority.

Role Description The Forward Deployed Engineer is a full-time role, working closely with hospital partners to implement, configure, and optimize Rondo’s AI-driven care coordination solutions. In this role, the engineer collaborates with clinical and operational stakeholders to understand workflows, integrate Rondo with existing EMR and hospital systems, and translate real-world needs into technical requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include deploying new features, troubleshooting issues in production environments, managing data pipelines, and ensuring system reliability and performance in high-stakes clinical settings. The Forward Deployed Engineer also prototypes improvements, contributes to product feedback, supports user training and onboarding, and shares learnings with the broader engineering and product teams to continuously refine Rondo’s platform.
