Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurses!

Job Description:


- Join a dynamic team providing exceptional care in a state-of-the-art Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).


- Must be available to work nights: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with 12-hour shifts, totaling 36 hours per week.


- Experience the thrill of a diverse role with opportunities to float to other units, including NICU, General Pediatrics, and Emergency Department.


- Engage with critically-ill or injured infants, children, and teens in our advanced 12-bed PICU, designed for family-centered care.


- Collaborate with a responsive Pediatric Transport Team, enhancing care through expert pediatric nursing.


- Orientation Dates: 10/26, 11/9, 11/23, 12/7 (early starters prioritized).

Requirements:


- Minimum 24 months of current PICU / Pediatric Intensive Care experience.


- Willingness to float to NICU and ED as needed.


- Current PALS (AHA) certification is required.


- Must have experience with EPIC EMR.


- Highly preferred equipment experience includes vents, high flow, Alaris IV pumps, and feeding pumps.

Submission Requirements:


- Work history/resume showing 24 months of PICU / Pediatric Intensive Care experience.


- Skills checklist specific to PICU / Pediatric Intensive Care.


- Active Iowa/IA license or compact/multistate at submission.


- Professional reference from a charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO within the last 24 months is preferred.


- Valid driver's license required.


- Current certifications: BLS (AHA) and PALS (AHA).
