Details Work in the Operating Room of an acute care hospital with 119 staffed beds 5x8 hour day shift schedule from 6:45am to 3:15pm Weekend requirement typically every 4th weekend with weekday coverage, depending on staffing needs On-call requirement for weekday call rotation from 3pm to 7am, shared with staff Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities Uses Epic charting system Utilizes Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and Hana Table equipment Performs procedures across gynecology, trauma, neurology, orthopedic, general surgery, podiatry, ophthalmology, and urology specialties Requirements Active SC RN license or compact license required in hand prior to start Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required Minimum of 3 years of OR nursing experience required Previous travel nursing experience required Experience with a variety of surgical procedures including hysterectomy, laminectomy, joint replacement, appendectomy, and cataract extraction Additional Information Surgical scrubs provided by the facility Free parking available in unrestricted spaces Must reside outside a 60-mile radius to be prioritized for the position, though local candidates will be considered on a case-by-case basis Previous MUSC perm staff (including PRN) must have been separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler During hurricane season (June through November, peaking in August and September), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams First-time travelers are welcome to apply Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2 weeks Block schedule accommodations may be requested but are not guaranteed American Traveler Job ID P-735280.
